Hi, my name is Adrian Collins - welcome to Ourchickens.com which started out as a silly joke in the year 2002. This was at the time we had just started to keep a few chickens in our garden.

My wife Jacky and I live in a town called Weston-super-Mare. Weston is a Victorian town in Somerset, in the UK. A typical seaside town with a pier, seafront bars, bags of chips, and even donkeys on the beach! Oh yes, and here the tide is almost always out.

Originally this site was a very simple website with just a photo gallery - and what we called a 'HenCam' at the time.

Now you can sign up with a free account and submit your own content, such as keeping your own online blog which gets published on the front page, you can even insert clips from YouTube, submit photos, and much more.

In 2005 we had a lot of media interest and Ourchickens.com was featured all over the world.

I gave a few interviews on various radio stations, and there were articles in local, and national newspapers. This site has also been discussed on other radio stations around the world, and was voted one of the top ten out of the thousands on Earthcam.
